Fall 2025 #9/10: Two More Weeks of Harvest in 2025
December sure snuck up on me. One minute I’m planning and prepping Thanksgiving for mine and yours, and the next, we’re waking up to fields of dense fog and frozen puddles in disbelief that Fall is winding to a close in ten days. Luckily, we’ve still got a bit of harvest to go, and luckily some of that took place in the cover of a greenhouse this morning for our crew, who came up with a good round of looseleaf Baby Bok Choy and a few other little Mustards for the CSA to enjoy this week. The timing is actually perfect, because White Daikon is also on deck too. Such good stir fry, salad and soup potential, which is to say nothing of the amazing fridge pickles and noodles we can make.
Two weeks of harvest means that there are two weeks left to donate items and fulfill Giving Box wishes for LASA (Living Access Support Alliance) and the families they support in Pierce County. There are an array of "wishes" for you to consider fulfilling for people in need of all ages. Just choose a tag (or more) from the box and return your corresponding item to the farm, unwrapped. Several donated items are already on their way to LASA thanks to our Wild Hare Organic Farm community (THANK YOU!) We will continue to collect donated items between now and December 10th.
This is indeed our next-to-last week for the year (We’ll be totally closed for a Winter Break from December 11th, 2025 through January 12th, 2026). Priority Registration for next year’s CSA shares is LIVE! We are offering Priority Registration & Renewals for next year's CSA again, so returning and continuing members can click here to register online NOW. If you’re not currently a member but are interested, please make sure you are on our waiting list.
Thank You,
Katie
PS: The farmstand will close at 6pm (EARLY) next week on Tuesday, December 9th. As always, we’re happy to pack shares for after hours pickup if you let us know in advance. Thanks!
